Types of Warts
There are several different types of warts
Common Wart
This is a raised wart with a roughened surface similar to that of cauliflower. This is the most common type of wart and it is typically located on the hands and feet
Plantar Warts
Plantar warts are most commonly found on the soles of the feet and typically have black specs in the center. Plantar warts are often very hard and sometimes painful, and due to their location can be irritated when walking.
Genital Warts
This is as it sounds, a wart that occurs on genitalia, and yes it can be sexually transmitted. They can range from small smooth papules, to large cauliflower-like lesions.
Mosaic Warts
Mosaic warts are a group of clustered smaller warts. They are most common on the hands and soles of the feet.
Plane (Flat) Warts
These are small flattened warts and are often tan or flesh colored. Then can often occur in large numbers and are most common on the face, neck, hands, wrists, and knees.
