What Are Warts?
Warts are small rough tumors (non-cancerous) found on the top layer of skin, most common on the hands and feet. While they can occur in other locations, the hands and the feet are the most common.
Warts are caused by a viral infection and are contagious if they come in contact with the skin of another person. You can also contract warts by sharing towels, clothes, or other items with an infected person.
